Sweet Search

This is a great, easy to use, search engine for students. When trying to find reliable information either for school work or simply in general, this is an easy tool to use. Sweet Search has narrowed down its results to only draw from 35,000 sites that have been vetted by educators and it excludes sites marked as spam or lacking in academic content (2016 EdTechTeacher Inc.). Additionally, it will show sites that are older if they are still relevant. In Health and Physical Education, just about every 'joe schmoe' out there seems to think they have all the answers, resulting in tons of false information circulating on the internet. This tool will help students find more credible web pages and scientific papers. I like this search engine since it pulls up websites, articles, and scientific papers. This gives students a range of ways to learn about the subject at hand. However, if the goal is to only use scientific papers then a more appropriate choice would be to use a search engine such as PubMed.

I found out about this search engine from a site called EdTechTeacher. This site provides access to many different tools and a description of each one.
